WASHINGTON — Some clouds will filter in overnight and help keep temperatures slightly warmer than the bitter cold we've had the past few mornings. We'll wake up in the upper 20s and 30s Tuesday morning before temperatures climb back into the 40s throughout the afternoon.
Overnight: Mostly cloudy and cold. Low: 34.
Tuesday: Mostly cloudy, some afternoon clearing. High: 46.
Tuesday Night: Clearing skies. Blustery and cold. Low: 23.
Wednesday: Mostly sunny, windy and much colder. High: 32.
Lows will remain above freezing in D.C. for the first time in five nights. A cold front moves through the Metro Area Tuesday bringing more arctic air for Wednesday. We'll have a lot of clouds Tuesday but the front moves through dry. Highs Tuesday will be chilly with temperatures back in the 40s! Really very seasonable for this time of the year, it's just been so unusually cold this month that it will be a nice (brief!) break.
A Winter Weather Advisory is in place in Garrett County and West Grant County due to accumulating snow through Tuesday morning. Great news for WISP and Timberline ski resorts.
Overnight: Mostly cloudy and cold. Lows: 28 - 34. Winds: SW 10 - 15.
Tuesday: Mostly cloudy, breezy and chilly. Highs: 43 - 48. Winds: NW 10 - 20.

Long Range Forecast:
The second half of the week looks brighter but colder with high temperatures in the upper 20s and low 30s Wednesday and Thursday. Friday will be a couple of degrees higher in the upper 30s but some of our models are hinting at another round of snow by Friday night. Any accumulation looks minor at this point - if we see any snow at all.
Thursday: Mostly sunny and cold. Highs: 36 - 41.
Friday: Mostly cloudy and cold, evening snow possible. Highs: 37 - 41.
Saturday: AM snow possible then partly cloudy, windy and much colder. Highs: 31 - 36.
