Police investigating pedestrian struck incident in Wood Co.

The Wood County Sheriff's Office released a statement saying no one was charged and the incident remains under investigation.

BOWLING GREEN, Ohio — The Wood County Sheriff's Office is investigating a pedestrian struck incident that happened on U.S. Route 6 in Bowling Green Friday night. 

Police say dispatch received a call about a male who had been walking in the roadway and got struck by a vehicle around 10 p.m. 

Ryan Shank, 38, passed away at the scene, according to police.

Police say the driver was evaluated and released from the scene. 

The sheriff's office released a statement saying no one was charged and the incident remains under investigation.
