WOOD COUNTY, Ohio — Two people were hospitalized in serious condition following a crash Saturday night in Wood County, according to the Ohio State Highway Patrol.

Troopers say William Koperski, 37, was traveling southbound on I280 in Township of Lake when he traveled off the left side of the roadway, over corrected, overturned and came to rest on the left side of the roadway.

As a result, passenger Jessica Koperski, 35, was ejected from the vehicle, according to troopers.

They were both hospitalized at St. Vincent Medical Center suffering from life-threatening injuries.

Troopers say neither one was wearing a seat belt and added they believe William Koperski was driving under the influence of alcohol.

The incident is still under investigation.
