Police are searching for the driver in a rollover accident that completely shut down traffic on I-75 Thursday night.
The accident occurred just before midnight on I-75 S near Wales Rd. in Northwood.
A vehicle flipped over in the construction site, backing up traffic in both directions. Northbound lanes were closed for about 30 minutes and the southbound lanes were shut down for well over an hour.
The vehicle was empty when rescue crews arrived on scene.
Northwood police and fire crews combed the area in foot looking for the missing driver. However, that driver has not yet been located.
