Lucas County OVI task force plans sobriety checkpoint Friday night

TOLEDO, Ohio — The Lucas County Operating Vehicles Intoxicated, or OVI, Task Force will conduct three sobriety checkpoints on April 23.

The checkpoints will be in operation from 8 p.m. through 2 a.m. at 13502 Airport Highway, 6355 Angola Road and 7337 West Bancroft St.

The checkpoints will be staffed with officers from the task force and will be paid for through the OVI Task Force Grant from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
