OTTAWA COUNTY, Ohio — One man is dead after a crash in Ottawa County early Thursday morning.
The crash happened around 3 a.m. on East Bayshore Road near South Danbury North Road in Danbury Township.
Police say 55-year-old Randall Allen of Columbus was driving Chevy pickup truck on East Bayshore Road when he failed to negotiate a curve and drove off the right side of the road.
Police say Allen then re-entered the roadway before driving off the left side of the road and flipping over into a water-filled ditch.
Allen was pronounced dead at the scene, according to police.
Police say Allen was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash, and it is unknown at this time if drugs or alcohol were involved.
