Biker seriously injured in SUV-involved crash in south Toledo

A 46-year-old man on a dirt bike was ejected from the bike after colliding with an SUV, according to police.

TOLEDO, Ohio — A 46-year-old man driving a dirt bike in south Toledo was hospitalized after being ejected from his vehicle following a crash Friday night, according to Toledo police.

Craig Hallauer, 46, was traveling east on South Avenue on a dirt bike at a high rate of speed while Horizon Bouyer, 19, was driving south on an SUV on Spencer Street and continuing through the intersection at the two roads. 

Police say Hallauer was unable to slow down in time and collided with the SUV. He was ejected from the dirt bike and was seriously injured. 

Hallauer was hospitalized at St. Vincent Medical Center.

Police are still investigating the incident.
