Toledo Rockets men’s basketball program paused for two weeks after head coach, 6 players test positive for COVID-19

The announcement comes after head coach Tod Kowalczyk tested positive on Sunday. The six players tested positive Tuesday.

TOLEDO, Ohio — The Toledo Rockets men’s basketball program is on hold after six players tested positive for COVID-19 during regular weekly testing on Tuesday.

The University of Toledo athletic department made the decision to pause all men’s basketball activities for two weeks due to the outbreak.

On Monday, head coach Tod Kowalczyk announced that he had tested positive for COVID-19 on Sunday and was self-isolating.
