TOLEDO, Ohio — Due to the possibility of contamination, residents on Parkdale Ave., between Grand Ave. and W. Bancroft St., are advised to boil their water. This advisory also affects 1807 W. Bancroft St. and 1797 W. Bancroft St.

In the advisory issued by the City of Toledo Department of Public Utilities, the following precautions should be taken:

  1. Flush all taps used for drinking and cooking by running cold faucets for at least 3 minutes. 
  2.  Boil the water for 3 minutes and cool before using (or use bottled water). Boiled or bottled water should be used for drinking, making formula, making ice, brushing teeth, washing dishes and preparing food
  3.  If your water appears discolored, avoid washing clothes or using the hot water taps until you have run the cold water faucets and the water clears.

This advisory expires May 26 and normal activities may resume then, unless the advisory is extended.
