Suspect charged in fatal police chase accident

The man accused of killing a bystander while fleeing police Tuesday was formally charged Wednesday.

MONROE, MI (Toledo News Now) - The man accused of killing a bystander while fleeing police Tuesday was formally charged Wednesday.

Police say 19-year-old Austin Lee Hall-Sheedy led them on a chase through Monroe, Michigan that ended when he ran a red light and hit another vehicle. Diana Mary Cupp, 59, was killed in the accident, according to Monroe Police.

Hall-Sheedy was arraigned on charges of Fleeing and Eluding Police Causing Death on Wednesday. He was also arraigned on an Unarmed Robbery charge stemming from a separate incident. Hall-Sheedy is being held on $1 million bond in the Monroe County Jail.
