LORDSTOWN, Ohio — Vice President Mike Pence will be in Ohio Thursday, revealing the Lordstown Motors endurance all-electric pickup truck.
The Lordstown plant where Pence will be was shuttered by General Motors when the company decided to stop the production of Chevrolet Cruzes in 2019. Since then, the Trump administration had been pushing for other companies to take over and bring manufacturing jobs back to the area.
The vice president is also set to deliver remarks following the reveal and participate in an event with law enforcement and community leaders.
Pence will return to Washington that same night.
The vice president's communication office said more details of Pence's trips will be released in the following days.
