SYLVANIA, OH (WTOL) - The Sylvania Police Dept. released a lengthy report Thursday, over 30 pages long, regarding the accident that killed 15-year-old Morgan Duris. It provides new insight as to why Cynthia Anderson, 66, was charged with aggravated vehicular homicide.

Anderson's SUV slammed into Morgan Duris, while she was trying to cross the street to catch her bus.

According to police reports, Cynthia Anderson from Toledo was on her way to work and was in a hurry. She later told police, "I hit a child...I was going to pass (the bus) before it stopped, then the child darted out...I should have stopped...I was trying to beat (the bus). I was trying to rush."

The report later shows Anderson says she doesn't clock in and she could have gotten to work whenever she wanted.

The report says Anderson stated, "I was wrong. I should have just been calm and cool and stopped. I wasn't thinking."

Police noticed Anderson's car radio was playing very loudly. It was on a Christian station that Anderson says had a story about Moses.

"I was listening to that and my mind was kinda on that, and that's what did it."

She told police she didn't know how fast she was going.

The report shows a student witness "noticed a vehicle approaching well over the speed limit" and another student witness said it "appeared that (the car) was traveling about 10 miles-per-hour over the speed limit."

Many witnesses state the bus did have flashing lights and the stop sign out when Anderson hit Duris.

Friday Anderson's case will more than likely get a judge and an arraignment date will be set.

Anderson couldn't be reached for comment. The Duris family says it will wait to make a comment later.
