Zia Cooke finalist for Naismith High School Girls Player of the Year

The award, named after Canadian-American basketball inventor James Naismith, is given to the top male and female high school basketball player in the country.

TOLEDO (WTOL) - Current Rogers Ram and future South Carolina Gamecock Zia Cooke has been named a finalist for the Naismith High School Girls Player of the Year award.

The award, named after Canadian-American basketball inventor James Naismith, is given to the top male and female high school basketball player in the country.

Cooke is one of five finalists.

The awards will be presented to the winners in early March.
