OREGON, Ohio — A woman is dead following a two-vehicle crash in Oregon Saturday night.
This happened at the intersection of North Wynn and Cedar Point Road around 7 p.m.
Shandon Wiler, 21, of Grayson, KY, was traveling southbound on North Wynn when he failed to obey a stop sign. Wiler then struck a vehicle driven by Michael Zolciak, 69, of Curtice, who was heading westbound on Cedar Point Road.
Both vehicles went off the road and into the grass. Zolciak's front seat passenger, Christine Zolciak, 70, of Curtice, was trapped in the vehicle and had to be extricated by the Oregon Fire Department. She was then transported to the hospital, where she later died from her injuries.
Michael Zolciak is reportedly recovering from serious injuries.
According to police, Wiler suffered minor injuries from the crash.
Both Michael and Christine Zolciak were wearing their seat belts at the time of the incident. Wiler was not wearing his.
The crash remains under investigation.
