NAPOLEON, Ohio — Three people are behind bars and are facing a counterfeiting felony after attempting to use fake 100-dollar bills at a local business in Napoleon Thursday.
Remington Jones, 25, 23-year-old Mareisha Hunter and 23-year-old Elijah Henderson, all from Michigan, were quickly arrested after Napoleon officers received helped from witnesses.
After further investigation, officers discovered several more counterfeit bills and other locations where the bills were successfully used. All of the fake money that was found were 100-dollar bills with the serial number "LB62001435J."
The trio is currently at CCNO and awaiting hearings in Napoleon Municipal Court.
Anyone with any information in relation to the crime or any business owners who may have accepted the counterfeit bills are encouraged to call the Napoleon Police Department.
