TPD officer unharmed after shots fired in central Toledo, suspect on the run

A lockdown has been placed on fire station 16 and the nearby fire stations due to the police activity in that area.

TOLEDO, Ohio — There's heavy police presence in central Toledo after a suspect fired at least one shot at a Toledo police officer.

The incident occurred just before 5 p.m. near Woodstock and Victory.

According to police, nobody was hit with the gunfire. At this time, the suspect is still on the run.

Police on scene have made WTOL 11 crews stay back as they conduct their search. Several officers reportedly have their guns drawn.

A lockdown has been placed on fire station 16 and the nearby fire stations due to the police activity in that area.
