Officer Dan Henderson took time out of patrol to help a kid warm up for his baseball game.

TOLEDO, Ohio — Here's a little afternoon pick-up game to give you a pick-me-up.

Toledo Police tweeted out a quick post on a good deed done by one of its officers on Friday.

While on patrol, Officer Dan Henderson ran across a boy getting ready for his baseball game, and proceeded to provide mutual aid - in the form of some pop-ups and grounders!

Henderson, a member of TPD's softball team, spent some time with young Nathan and helped him warm up.

"Kudos, Officer Henderson, and good  luck at your game, Nathan!" TPD tweeted.

Officer Henderson is no stranger to helping others outside of his police capacities. Last year, he took it upon himself to help out a mother struggling to acquire a bike for her daughter.

The mom was not able to get the bike from Toys R Us after a paperwork problem, and Officer Henderson ended up purchasing the bike for her himself.

"The amazing officer could not force them to give me the bike or my money back, but he took it upon himself to purchase this bike for my daughter! With everything that I'm going through with my health, among other things, I simply can not express enough how greatful I am for this blessing in a uniform!!!!"

Way to go Officer Dan Henderson! It is officers like you that make a difference in our Community. Haylee McClellan Rowe We encountered an AMAZING blessing today! His name is Officer Henderson! I...
