TOLEDO, Ohio — Toledo police responded to a report of a person stabbed on November 24, 2022. Body camera footage obtained by WTOL 11 shows officers arriving on the scene just after 4 a.m.
As shown in the video, two officers approach a woman in a driveway. One asks where she's been stabbed. She says she's wounded on her hand, her stomach and her back but cannot tell TPD how badly she is hurt.
She then tells the officers the suspect is inside and is attacking another girl.
One officer looks through the windows while the other goes to the front door and attempts to kick it in. The door doesn't budge.
The officer then moves to a side door and kicks it open.
Both officers enter the home with their guns drawn. They move inside and find a woman holding a knife to another woman's throat.
The officers order the woman to drop the knife but she does not comply. Then, one officer pulls out a Taser and uses it to subdue the suspect.
TPD then puts the woman in cuffs and arrests her. The department says she was charged with multiple felonies.
Toledo police posted the story on Facebook on January 20, 2023. It reads, "On 11/24/22, Officer Shirey and Officer Aguilar responded to a report of a person stabbed. Once on scene, a victim was located in the driveway bleeding from her hand. While speaking with this victim, the officers heard a scream from inside the home. Officer Aguilar looked through a window and observed another victim being held at knife-point by the suspect. The officers then ran to a side door and forced entry. Once inside, they found the suspect with both arms wrapped around the victim's neck, still holding the knife. After ignoring multiple orders to drop the knife and to let the victim go, Officer Aguilar deployed his Taser, striking the suspect and causing her to drop the knife and the second victim to escape. The suspect was then taken into custody and charged with multiple felonies."
