Toledo Humane Society hosting curbside kitten shower

Kitten season is in full swing, and the Toledo Humane Society is filled with cats and kittens that are looking for a new home.

TOLEDO, Ohio — The Toledo Humane Society is filled with cats and kittens, and to help find a new home for the animals the shelter is hosting a curbside kitten shower celebration Friday and Saturday. 

You can drive-by the event from noon to 4 p.m. and join in the celebration, picking up your party favors, dropping off gifts for kittens and enjoying a quick treat to-go. 

The shelter says there is no need to RSVP. 

As this is a baby shower for cats and kittens, the humane society asking gifts for our furry friends. The shelter needs Snuggle Safe Discs, Digital Kitchen Scales, Miracle Mini Nipples, and Revival Kitten Formula. You can access the kitten shower registry here.  

Along with the curbside celebration, the humane society is hosting virtual events on its Facebook page all week with information on becoming a pet foster parent, and even an online kitten cam featuring some of the fluffiest special guests around!

If you can't attend the celebration but would still like to place donations, the shelter is accepting gifts all week long.  Supporters are able to drop off their kitten shower gifts in designated bins located outside the main doors starting Monday, June 15.
