MAUMEE (WTOL) - After being closed for nearly three months, River Road is now open.

The road experienced a lot of damage from this winter’s intense flooding and ice jams.

On Thursday morning, city of Maumee officials discussed the timeline for this project.

Crews were seen working on a heavily affected section of River Road right by the cemetery. A lot of the work for this project was weather-dependent, leading the timeline to be up in the air for a little while.

Earlier this week, crews completed paving work along the road.

Wednesday and Thursday, their focus was fixing the sides of the roads that were caving because of the ice jam damage.

For the past few weeks River Road has been blocked off, but Side Cut Metropark has been open.
