TOLEDO, Ohio — Wood County Plays is hosting a rubber duck drop on Saturday, August 8 for those who want to have some fun while giving back to the community.

The money raised will help build an inclusive playground in Perrysburg.

The playground will be the first of its kind in Wood County, built so children of all abilities can play together.

Leaders with the Wood County Plays organization say there are many kids and families in our community who cannot use a traditional playground due to accessibility issues, safety concerns and a lack of inclusive equipment.

Have you seen work going on recently at Rotary Community Park? This ... is a new pavilion funded and being built by Perrysburg Rotary. Our inclusive playground will sit right next to this pavilion when completed.

To take the plunge, just buy a duck at $5 a piece.

Here's how it works: Each duck will be dropped onto a target, and the owner of the duck that lands closest to the bullseye will win $500.

But, it's not just the cash could take home, there are a number of other prizes participants can win.

The event will be streamed live. Information on how to watch is coming soon.
