TOLEDO (WTOL) - A big snowstorm across much of the south is causing flight cancellations out of Toledo Express Airport.

According to the airport’s website, as of 6 p.m on Sunday, American-Airlines flight 5443 to Charlotte, scheduled at 10:21 p.m. Sunday and American-Airlines flight 5035 to Charlotte, scheduled at 1:09 p.m. on Monday have been cancelled.

The flight to Charlotte, scheduled at 10:21 p.m. on Monday has not been canceled as of 6 p.m. on Sunday.

According to Flight Aware, an airline tracking service, more than 1,300 flights have been canceled this weekend flying into and out of the Charlotte airport.

Flights out of Detroit to Charlotte and Raleigh/Durham have also been canceled.

Travelers are advised to check their flights status before heading out to the airport.
