Police say the suspect hit a gas station employee in the face with a handgun before taking an unknown amount of money.

FINDLAY, Ohio — Findlay police have located and arrested 27-year-old Kip Allen Wright, the man suspected of an armed robbery at a gas station Monday morning.

Findlay Police say they notified Fostoria Police of a possible location for Wright.

Fostoria Police officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle in which Wright was a passenger.

Wright was arrested on the warrant out for him and taken to the Hancock County Justice Center.

He was charged with aggravated robbery.

The incident happened at the Exxon Mobile on Fostoria Ave. around 7 a.m.

Police say Wright entered the store with a handgun and told the clerk to give him all the money.

As the clerk was walking to the register, police say Wright hit the employee in the face with the handgun.

The clerk then gave Wright an unknown amount of money from the cash register.

Police say Wright then fled the store and ran behind the apartment complex next door.

Police say the clerk suffered injury to his mouth and upper lip after being hit with the gun and was treated at the scene.
