TOLEDO, Ohio — Editor's note: The following story has been updated to reflect new information made available by Toledo police.
A driver hit a person on a bicycle in south Toledo just after midnight on Saturday.
According to a Toledo police report, the cyclist and the driver were both going westbound on Arlington Avenue when the driver struck the bicyclist in the curb lane.
The cyclist was transported by life squad to the hospital.
Police said the 32-year-old cyclist had died of their injuries in the hospital Monday. The name of the victim is being withheld pending notification of family.
Police said the incident is under investigation and there are no drugs or alcohol suspected to be involved.
