TOLEDO (WTOL) - According to Tiffin police, a body was found in the Sandusky River Sunday night.
Authorities were in the area responding to a call about a missing man when they were notified about the body.
Just after 9 p.m., Tiffin police along with the Tiffin Fire Department pulled a deceased male from the Sandusky River near Water St.
The body was first taken to the Seneca County Coroner’s office but was later transferred to the Lucas County Coroner’s Office for an autopsy.
The autopsy confirmed the victim to be Frederick Nevin Haudenshild, 53, from Tiffin.
At this time there is no suspicion of foul play and investigators still don’t know the cause of death, according to the Tiffin Police Department.
