TOLEDO (WTOL) - A special delivery was made for the airmen and women assigned to the 180th Fighter Wing on Wednesday, just in time for the holidays.
About 315 cars from Anthony Wayne, Springfield and Swanton went through security with their annual delivery of holiday treats.
The schools put the word out and kids came through with trays and plates of cookies to show thanks to our local military men and women who sacrifice time with their family to serve our country.
Thousands of cookies were donated and delivered Wednesday afternoon, along with letters to the airmen and women saying “thank you.”
It wasn’t just a cookie feast, however, they were free to take some home.
