DETROIT (WTOL) - Hold on to any old tickets you may have, because Comerica Park and the Detroit Tigers are going paperless.

The Tigers will move to paperless tickets as early as Tigerfest which begins this Saturday.

Tigers fans will now have to use the Major League Baseball Ballpark App or the Stub Hub App to get into the game, as now all forms of paper tickets will no longer be accepted.

The team says this is a move to stop fraudulent tickets.

It may be a lot easier to keep track of your tickets, but some fans are going to miss the nostalgia of keeping a baseball ticket for the memories.

Paperless ticketing is already in place for all other Detroit teams, and officials with Ilitch Holdings, Inc. tell the Detroit Free Press that they have received positive feedback from sports fans and concert-goers at these venues.
