A man charged in the death of a 2-year-old faces entered and Alford plea and then was sentenced to 20 years in prison and restitution costs of $1,500.
Brian Zingg was charged with murder after a boy in his care was seriously hurt and Zingg failed to call 911 or take the child to a hospital, according to police.
The toddler died from the injuries sustained later.
Zingg was originally charged with child endangerment and involuntary manslaughter.
"As a Christian, I will somehow have to find it in my heart to forgive Brian Zingg for the heinous acts he preformed on my grandson," said the toddler's grandmother.
He entered an Alford plea in court Friday.
Zingg originally plead not guilty to the charges.
