The Bowling Green Police Division is searching for 20-year-old Martez Mitchell of Bowling Green in connection to an aggravated robbery that occurred in BG City Park.

On June 30 at about 8 p.m., BGPD officers responded to City Park for a report of a male pointing a firearm at another male. Officers did not locate anyone involved in the incident at that time.

An investigation uncovered that the incident was initially a drug transaction between Noah Waszak and Martez Mitchell. During the transaction, Mitchell pulled a firearm on Waszak and robbed him of approximately two ounces of marijuana and THC vape cartridges, BG police said.

July 3, Waszak was arrested for trafficking in drugs and transported to the Wood County Justice Center. Mitchell was charged with aggravated robbery and an arrest warrant was issued.

Anyone having information on Mitchell’s whereabouts is encouraged to contact the Bowling Green Police Division 419-352-1131, Wood County Crimestoppers at 1-800-54-CRIME, or their local law enforcement agency.

You may remain anonymous and if information results in the arrest and conviction of a suspect, you could be eligible for a cash reward of up to $1000.
