The library isn't just for studying and reading books.

The Rossford Library is hosting a concert series as a non-traditional way to reach out to the community.

Every concert is free and open to the public. People should bring lawn chairs or blankets on which to sit and enjoy the music, but patrons are highly encouraged to get up and dance as well.

The concerts will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. every Wednesday outside the library, and if there is poor weather the concerts will take place inside the library.

There are plenty of genres and dates from which to choose:

  • June 12: "Polka on the Patio" with the Duane Malinowski Orchestra
  • June 19: The big band sounds of Swingmania
  • June 26: Jimmy Buffett Tropical island music  with The Boat Drinks Band (house band from Margaritaville, Cleveland)
  • July 3: Smooth Jazz with the Brad Billmaier trio
  • July 10: 80s Rock to Current Hits by 56 Daze
  • July 17: Crossover Country with Liberty Beach
