Thursday, December 27Toledo Walleye vs. Brampton Beast | Huntington Center | 7:15-10 p.m.

The weekend starts on Thursdays. And if you’re on winter break, the weekend hasn’t ended yet. Doors open at 6:15 p.m.

Free Entry to “Community” Exhibit | Art Loop at Toledo Museum of Art | 5-9 p.m.

TMA is offering free admission to view “Rebecca Louise Law: Community” on Thursday evenings from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Visitors may claim their free timed ticket (one per person) at the information desk upon arrival. Thursday evening tickets will not be available in advance or online.

Lights Before Christmas | Toledo Zoo | Now through Dec. 31

Walk through the newly renovated tunnel and enjoy all the season has to offer at the 2018 edition of the holiday tradition! Features over 1 million lights, the award-winning Big Tree and more than 200 illuminated animal images spread out across the zoo. Combined with the tunnel re-opening, the 2018 electrical spectacle is sure to be both merry AND bright!

Friday, December 28Harlem Globetrotters | Huntington Center | 7 p.m.

It’s a holiday tradition! Enjoy family fun with the Harlem Globetrotters - tickets still available!

Great Art Escape Event | Toledo Museum of Art | 7-10 p.m.

Check out the Snow Globe Social! Add the Museum’s Snow Globe Social to your holiday plans. Stay warm with seasonal drinks, test your knowledge of 1990s and 2000s pop culture trivia, and shake off the winter blues with dancing and live music. A cash bar will be available. Saturday, December 29 TRRC December Dash | Maumee Indoor Theater | 8:15 a.m.-1 p.m.

Get geared up for a 5.2 mile race, 0.52 km kids’ dash and a movie! Registration begins at 8:15 a.m. Kids Race starts at 9 a.m. The 5.2 mile race starts at 9:15 a.m. A family-friendly movie starts at 11-ish a.m. Registration, start, finish and movie are at the Maumee Indoor Theatere, 601 Conant St., Maumee. The 0.52 km course is an out and back course. The 5.2 mile course is also out and back course past Side Cut Park and back up that Big Dang Hill! Smile for the camera! The course is not closed to traffic.

Gingerbread House Construction | Imagination Station | 2-3:30 p.m.

Secure your hard hat and get ready for a sweet build! Construct your own gingerbread house. Learn about architecture basics while you design a tasty creation! Plus, you get to take home your (gingerbread) home! Members: $6 per person. Non-members: $8 per person. Must register online.

Champagne Proper | Bottle Shop at Macy’s Italian | 5-8 p.m.

Before you pop the bubbly on New Year’s Eve, become a champagne expert at our Champagne Proper tasting! Tricia Rasar, Mancy’s wine director, will be giving lessons to help you truly enjoy champagne to the fullest.o

The Neil Diamond Tribute - Super Diamond | Hollywood Casino | 8-10 p.m.

Sunday, December 30 New Year’s Eve Eve Bouncy Ball Drop | Imagination Station | 10 a.m.-5 p.m.

Celebrate New Year’s Eve early with a New Year’s Eve EVE Celebration! At 2:19pm, make some noise as we ring in the New Year as they drop over 19,000 bouncy balls into our lower atrium! Plus, enjoy more New Year’s activities! This event is included with admission to the science center.

Love Your Melon Night: Walleye vs. Komets | Huntington Center | 7:15 p.m.-10 p.m.

Doors open at 6:15 p.m. and game tickets are still available. The Love Your Melon beanie + ticket packages are sold out. Don’t miss the special event of a post-game skate. Join us every Sunday for a FREE open skate at the Huntington Center immediately following the game. Open skate participants can lace up in The Aquarium near the Jefferson Avenue Lobby. Open skate participants can provide their own skates or can rent them at the Huntington Center for $5. The open skate will last approximately one hour after the game.
