The Toledo Museum of Art and Pizza Cat will offer new menu items inspired by the other.

Two restaurants known for their use of local fixings to create fun, creative menus are teaming up to share ingredients to create new dishes for diners at both locations.

The Toledo Museum of Art and Pizza Cat will offer new menu items inspired by the other beginning June 11 and continuing until TMA’s Summer Block Party on July 13.

TMA Chef Joe Felix will look to the more than 75 combinations Pizza Cat offers to build his weekly gourmet half-pound brisket burger. This burger is part of the Museum Café’s summer menu, featuring healthy, flavorful dishes for the warmer months. Returning to the menu is a selection of salads along with new gnocchi dish options and four new sandwiches.

Beginning Thursday, Pizza Cat will use the ingredients from TMA’s handmade gnocchi dishes to create new pizza combinations. Each week a new pizza flavor will be offered.

“Creating fun, flavorful dishes with local ingredients is something that we have always strived to do here at the Museum,” said Chef Joe Felix. “Teaming up with Pizza Cat, a restaurant that has a similar philosophy, will allow us to offer diners at both restaurants new combinations to thrill the taste buds.”

In addition to the gourmet burger inspired by Pizza Cat ingredients, the Museum Café offers vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free options. Among the vegan options is the Green Goddess sandwich and the carrot soup, served daily. For the young artist, the children’s menu features a variety of favorites, such as the pan-seared gnocchi and cheese, Italian bread pizza, and grilled three-cheese sandwich as well as hot dogs and mini cheeseburgers.

The Museum Café is open Tuesday and Wednesday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., Thursday and Friday from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Sunday from noon to 4 p.m. For more information or to see the full menu, visit toledomuseum.org.
