TOLEDO, Ohio — The National Museum of the Great Lakes is giving all active duty military and veterans free admission to the museum in honor of Memorial Day.

Christopher Gillcrist, Executive Director of the museum, believes that free admission is the least they can do to honor the people who serve in the military.

“It is an honor to have those who sacrificed in the past and those sacrificing today at our facility,” Gillcrist said.

The museum is open every day, from the hours of 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday.

The museum preserves and shares the history of the Great Lakes, and how they changed the historical landscape of the United States and Canada. For more information about the museum or their Memorial Day tribute to the military, click here.
