TOLEDO, Ohio — Its the first weekend in June and time to get out and enjoy that sunshine. There are plenty of opportunities to do that and more , in and around Toledo. Keep reading and discover how you can go 419.  

THURSDAY

Eye Contact Exhibit | Heart Gallery and Studio | Beginning at 10 a.m. 

Have you missed walking around galleries and museums since the pandemic started? Well, now is your chance to check one out, stay safe and get some much needed "eye contact." 

This unique exhibit features 3D quilt pieces showing only eyes facing forward. 

This exhibition will be by appointment only. There is also the ability to view it virtually. They have dates to view this into late July.

Food Truck Thursday | Saint Clair Station | 4 - 8 p.m.

Food truck season is in full swing and it's the perfect takeout option for those wanting to maintain social distancing. Thursday evening you have all your favorites to pick from, just head down to Saint Clair Station that's on St. Clair Street in downtown Toledo and get your feast on.

Evening Guided Tour | Schedel Arboretum & Gardens | 6 - 8 p.m.

Things have been stressful lately, so how about ending the week on a more relaxing note? Take a little trip down to Elmore for an evening tour at Schedel Arboretum and Gardens. This tour will be led by their master gardener and docent, and you will get to learn all about the history there and information on trees and flora. Turn up Toledo Dance Fit with Becca | Routines | 6:30 p.m.  

If you gained the quarantine 15 , you're not alone! Gyms are back open now, so no more excuses, but maybe you want to try something a little different. Turn up Toledo is a fun , intense dance fitness class that'll get your heart pumping! 

No dance experience is needed or necessary, just come ready to sweat. The class is $5 and you will need to pay ahead and digitally, as no cash is being accepted.

FRIDAY 

National Donut Day| Holey Toledough | 7 a.m. - 12 p.m. 

What could make Friday any better you ask... how about DONUTS. Celebrate national donut day in holy Toledo with Holey Toledough. Starting at 7 a.m. come and get all your favorites, they will have their food truck out front, and they are taking all precautions to keep you safe.

DIY Soap & Bath Bomb Making | Buff City Soap | time

If you've ever wanted to try making your own soap or bath bombs, this weekend is your chance! Buff City Soap is hosting these workshops all weekend, beginning Friday. You will get to make your very own soaps or bath bombs and pick your color and scent combination. 

The costs for these workshops are $20 for bath bombs (you will make 8-10 bombs) and $40 for soap (you will make 6-7 bars).

Peace, Love, & Profanity Round 3! | Peace Love and Pottery Studio | 6 - 9 p.m.

Peace, love, and profanity - sounds exactly what we all need right now. If that's what you're looking for , I know exactly where to find it! Unleash your creativity, completely uncensored over at Peace Love and Pottery in Sylvania, as you create pieces with some offensive yet funny sayings on them. 

Cost will depend on what piece you decide to make , and its $5 to reserve your spot. They will be providing snacks and you can BYOB. Call 419-517-4414 to register now!

SATURDAY

4th Annual Put-in-Bay Music Festival | location| 11 a.m. - 6 p.m. 

Music lovers, Put-in-Bay will be the place to be this weekend! Saturday is the 4th annual music festival over on the island and it is sure to be a good time. The festival will be featuring a diverse range of genres including new grass, bluegrass, folk, rhythm and blues, pop and zydeco , so there's a little something for everyone! 

This event will be over at the Perry's Victory & International Peace Memorial and best of all this music fest is completely FREE. So head on over to the bay Saturday to enjoy some sunshine and great tunes.

Make and Take Stained Glass Class  | Toledo Stained Glass Guild | 12 - 3 p.m.

Explore your creative side with stained glass in the glass city. This 3-hour workshop you will get to learn the basics of working with stained glass and make your very own suncatcher! Together, with your instructor you will go through all the fundamental steps and you can pick from a variety of patterns to create your own design.

Ready for a Saturday night out for the first time ages? Come chill at the Cocoa House in Temperance and hear some great local music. Here, Crista McCutchen will be playing some of her original songs as well as some great covers of Demi Lovato, Fleetwood Mac, and more.

Adams Street Return of the Queens | Georgjz 419 | 8 p.m. - 1 a.m. 

Its been a long quarantine, hasn't it? Some might say, even a drag. All bad jokes aside, Saturday night is your chance to see what real drag is all about, with their first drag show since the pandemic began. 

Adams Street return of the queens is featuring some your local favorites, and no worries, social distancing will be observed to keep everyone safe while having some fun!
