TOLEDO, Ohio — Go 419 has the exclusive scoop on an ice cream with the same traditional taste, but entirely dairy-free.

For someone who is vegan or trying to become vegan, it can prove to be difficult when finding food to eat - especially sweets. Hudsonville Ice Cream has created a dairy-free formula featuring seven vegan-friendly flavors in a pint size.

The flavors are:

  • Birthday Cake
  • Caramel Cookie Dough
  • Cherry Fudge
  • Chocolate
  • Mint Fudge Cookie
  • Peanut Butter Truffle
  • S’mores

The flavors were so delicious, they managed to fool meteorologist and ice-cream connoisseur, Ryan Wichman in a blind taste test on Facebook.

“Dairy-free?” Wichman said. “Really? Wow, okay that was really good.”

The entire dairy-free collection will be available in the 240-plus Meijer supercenters and grocery stores in Michigan, Ohio, Indiana, Illinois, Kentucky and Wisconsin.

Hudsonville Ice Cream is a family-owned, Michigan-based creamery that has been making ice cream since 1926. To find out more about Hudsonville Ice Cream, click here.
