FORT LORAMIE, Ohio — Sad news, country music fans: this year's Country Concert in Fort Laramie has been pushed back until next year due to safety concerns regarding the coronavirus pandemic.

The Ohio country music festival was set to feature artists like Alan Jackson, Luke Combs and Jason Aldean, among other big names within the genre.

Organizers said this in a statement:

"We explored every possible option to have the 2020 event safely for our fans, charitable organizations, vendors, sponsors, employees, and local businesses. Our plan is to have the same show for 2021.  We will have more announcements on that coming very soon."

Ticket holders can expect an email sometime next week with information on how to keep their tickets, seats and camping for Country Concert 2021 or to request a refund.

5/9/1989 country music changed forever with the untimely, tragic dea... th of Keith Whitley. We had Keith booked to play CC89. He had just had his 3rd straight #1, "I'm No Stranger To The Rain" one month earlier and would go on to have 2 more #1's, 2- top 5 & 2 - top 15 hits.
