DEFIANCE (WTOL) - A family-owned coffee shop in Defiance with a heart to give back to their community, has made it easier for people in need to get help.
Cabin Fever Coffee has been a downtown Defiance staple for 15 years and currently owner Adam Tracy has a passion of giving back to his community.
After establishing Children’s Lantern Day, a day when 100 percent of a day’s proceeds went towards a non-profit, the coffee shop now sets aside money specifically to give to non-profits and those in need.
But the demand continued to grow, so now the coffee shop has created a form for those who would like some help to fill out.
This makes the requests easier to track, and to be able to have paperwork to follow up on later.
“We give coffee, we give donations, sometimes we’ll put together a package for them to sell. Really, what we want to do is provide something for organizations that we believe in a way for us to give back to them,” said Tracy.
You can fill out a form in person at either of the two Cabin Fever Coffee locations, or you can download a digital form off of their Facebook page here.
