TOLEDO -- There's been no word yet on how local UAW workers voted on the tentative contract agreement between the union and General Motors.

Seventy-four thousand workers across the country have voted on the deal, which include a union-run trust fund for retiree health care.

Local UAW workers voted yesterday on the tentative contract deal. The deal would allow UAW workers to take control of their own healthcare benefits. GM would also commit to keeping jobs in the U.S. and avoid outsourcing.

UAW officials hope to have the final count by Oct. 10.
