Organizers and sponsors are hoping this year’s Jeep Fest, which will be held the weekend of Aug. 9th, will be even bigger and better.

Skeeter Oliver worked at Toledo’s Jeep plant for 15 years. He was proud to see the city getting ready to celebrate it’s histor.

“It’s worldwide, wherever you go, there’s a Jeep! It doesn’t matter, you go to Canada, you go to South America, there’s a Jeep,” he said.

Jeep Fest not only celebrates the future of Jeep, like the all-new Jeep Gladiator pickup truck, but also recognizes Jeep’s rich history and importance in the Glass City.

Toledo is now the only place in the world making the Jeep Wrangler, and Fiat Chrysler Automobile’s Toledo Assembly Complex is one of the region’s largest and most modern manufacturing plants.

Craig Pitcock is Vice President of the Glass City Crawlers which is a jeep enthusiasts club. The organization has been involved with Jeepfest and saw 60,000 people attend the event last year, with nearly 2,000 jeeps.
