2 BGSU fraternity brothers under investigation

Jordan Archer, 21, and Keith White, 21, both members of Kappa Alpha Psi, face misdemeanor criminal charges. They have been accused of hitting pledges during a recruiting or initiation session.

BOWLING GREEN -- Two Bowling Green State University fraternity brothers are under investigation after being accused of mistreating pledges in what appears to be a hazing incident.

Jordan Archer, 21, and Keith White, 21, both members of Kappa Alpha Psi, face misdemeanor criminal charges. They have been accused of hitting pledges during a recruiting or initiation session.

BGSU takes hazing very seriously, says Kim McBroom, associate vice president for marketing and communications. First of all, the Student Affairs Department monitors Greek activities. Also, there is a hazing hotline -- 419-409-0731 --  so that students may anonymously report their suspicions.

Both students face up to 30 days in jail and fines, if convicted.
