SPRINGFIELD TOWNSHIP, OH (Toledo News Now) - The Ohio State Highway Patrol, Toledo Post is currently investigating a motor vehicle and bicycle crash that occurred on McCord Road, north Angola, in Springfield Township Friday evening.
Troopers say that just before 5:30 p.m., Hannah McAuley, 17, of Holland, OH was traveling south on McCord when she hit a Harvey Bell III, 17, of Toledo.
Bell was traveling on a bicycle in the same lane as McAuley. Officials say he was not wearing a helmet. He was transported to the hospital where he was later pronounced deceased.
The crash remains under investigation by The Ohio State Highway Patrol's Toledo Post. It is currently unknown if alcohol was a factor in the crash.
