Are you already running out of things to do while your kids are home for the summer? There are ways to keep them entertained without breaking the bank.
Here are three ideas even parents can enjoy:
- The Toledo Zoo: On Monday’s, admission is free from 10 a.m. until noon. You can check out all the wonderful animals. There are 10,000 of them representing 720 species!
- The 577 Foundation: In Perrysburg, you can get close to nature. It’s open to all. One cool thing to check out is the geodesic biodome; like a rainforest with fish and plants of all kinds. There is plenty to see and do. Not to mention, it's free.
- Lucas County Public Library: The library has a series of activities for kids. They can learn, play and be creative. It's a nice way to get the kids out of the house, out of the summer heat and doing something fun!
Something cool coming to the Maumee Library on July 27 is a performance by The Bubble Sharks! The show starts at 10 a.m.
