CLEVELAND — They say love makes you do crazy things, but what about in a pandemic? We know relationships take a lot of work, time and effort especially in the age of COVID-19. But how do we make up for lost time when a pandemic keeps you apart and unable to “speak” your love language?

"During the pandemic, nothing can be more important in terms of a relationship than feeling love by the other person -- because then you can handle the challenges. You can handle the conflicts much easier if you feel love."

Dr. Gary Chapman transformed the concept of relationship goals with his top-selling book The 5 Love Languages, which are words of affirmation, quality time, gift-giving or receiving, acts of service and touch.

He says it's not enough to know the concept because you have to discover each other's love language. Knowing that gem allows the Prewitts to sail into year three of marriage.

"It will be other challenges that we face in life, but I think this pandemic helped us set the foundation to tackle those challenges together," said Sam Prewitt.
