Be the hero of your summer picnics with this delicious Brownie Strawberry Cake!


2 packages (8 ounce each) brownie mix

1 14-ounce can sweetened condensed milk

1/4 cup cold water

1 3-ounce package cheesecake pudding mix

4 ounces of non-dairy whipped topping, defrosted

1 quart fresh strawberries, hulled and sliced

1/3 cup chocolate ice cream syrup, if desired


Preheat oven to 325 degrees. Prepare brownie mix according to package directions.  Prepare two 9-inch cake pans by using parchment paper for easy removal.  Bake for 20-22 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted comes out of the center, clean.

In a large bowl combine sweetened condensed milk, water and pudding mix.  Chill 15 minutes.  Fold in dairy topping. 

Place one brownie layer on a platter and top with one-half of pudding mixture and strawberries.   Repeat.  Refrigerate.  Drizzle with chocolate syrup, if desired.  Serves 10.
