TOLEDO, Ohio — Mother's Day is fast approaching, but not every mom gets the chance to celebrate with family and friends.
That's why local organization Mobile Meals of Toledo is hosting a "sponsor mom's meal" to sure no mom is left out.
Volunteers are dedicated to making sure that moms who may be alone on Mother’s Day have something to look forward to. This campaign allows you to donate a meal that will make the celebrations extra special for the motherly-figure in your life.
The organization is asking for help from the community to honor mothers by making donations.
“We’re just asking to fulfill that gap a little bit and honoring our moms for Mother’s Day," said Carloyn Fox, Director of special projects at Mobile Meals of Toledo. "We’re doing a special meal, special dessert, a little greeting card in the bag and just kind of saying you are special and we realize and we appreciate you and enjoy the special meal. Some people can’t be with their family and they’re home alone, and what a great way to mark the day and celebrate for them.”
