TOLEDO, Ohio — From Middletown, New Jersey, Emily Cohen joined the WTOL 11 team in August 2017.
Despite growing up on the Jersey Shore, Emily is no stranger to northwest Ohio. She studied broadcast journalism and entrepreneurship at Bowling Green State University. During her time there, Emily was an anchor and reporter for BG24 as well as a member of Alpha Xi Delta sorority.
After graduating from BGSU, Emily started producing WTOL 11's morning shows where she won an Emmy Award for "Deadly Ohio Tornadoes."
Emily is also the co-creator and former host of In the Loop. The digital news show helped WTOL gain thousands of followers on all its social media platforms. In the Loop is also now the winner of two Touchstone Awards.
After producing for three years, Emily decided to switch things up and try out the other side of the camera. She is now a full-time multi-skilled journalist and reporter.
In her spare time, you can find Emily traveling whenever and wherever she can, watching Bravo or shopping at Target.
