Toledo police and firefighters unite to catch a suspect

TOLEDO (WTOL) - It's all about teamwork.

Early Wednesday morning -- shortly after 1:30 a.m, actually -- police responded to a domestic abuse call on Field near Segur in south Toledo.

But when they got to the scene, the suspect ran. They took off after him, finding him a short time later on the roof of a three-story home.

Turns out, the suspect had found a ladder in a backyard and used it to climb onto the roof.

Not to be outfoxed, police called their pals in the TPFD who took them a ladder truck so they could reach the guy.

Thirty-year-old Torren Johnson has been charged with domestic violence, assault, inducing panic, obstruction of official business. Besides those charges, he has 17 outstanding warrants.
