OTSEGO (WTOL) - Money troubles has the Otsego School District considering closing a school, and parents aren't happy.
More than 100 people came out for an informational meeting Monday night. February 23.
There are three elementary schools is the Otsego district: Haskins, Weston, and Grand Rapids. The district's superintendent wants to close either Weston or Haskins beginning next school year.
Leaders say they'll save about $200,000 every year.
Parents are concerned. "If the Haskins Elementary should close, there is a very good chance that I will probably look to another district to put my children through. And I think there are other parents who feel the same way," said John Roeser, a parent of Haskins Elementary students.
