Weather delays trash collection

Possible delays in trash collection

Please be advised that the sub-zero temperatures combined with the extreme wind chill may delay trash and recycling collection for Friday (Blue 2).

The City of Toledo said in a press release that all residents should be assured that they are working very hard to collect trash and recycling in a timely manner. In the event that they are unable to service your residence Friday, they will have crews working Saturday.

This will not affect the newly adopted Leap Forward collection schedule. Here is more information on that schedule.

City of Toledo Trash Collection to Take Another "LEAP"

The City of Toledo would like to remind residents and the media that the next LEAP Forward holiday will be Monday, January 19 (Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Day).  There will be no refuse or recycling collection on that day, nor will there be any Saturday refuse and recycling collection.

  • Refuse collection for Red 2 residents will be held on Tuesday, January 20
  • Yellow 1 will be on Wednesday, January 21
  • Green 1 will be on Thursday January 22
  • Orange 1 will be on Friday, January 23
  • Blue 1 will be on Monday, January 26.

If citizens have any questions regarding refuse and/or recycling days, please contact 419-245-1494.
