TOLEDO (WTOL) - When we met Raymond Paige about a week ago, he was keeping an eye on the neighborhood. But he'd been sidetracked by a sinkhole that he'd been watching get bigger and bigger for five months.
He wasn't getting any satisfaction from the city, so he contacted News 11's Mika Highsmith. When Highsmith called the city the next day, they sent crews out to mark the ground.
On Tuesday, city crews were out digging to get ready for the fill. It's a big job that's taken some time with crews battling other jobs and weather.
But Paige is just happy that it's finally being done.
"If I wouldn't have talked to you to get this done, it would have never been done," Paige said. "You did a perfect job and I like that but I say keep on pushing because you help a lot of people and I know that because I watch the news every day."
